Safe Church

Safe Church Training is regularly required for all church employees and encouraged for all church leaders. It is required for all who work with youth and other young persons and for those who work with vulnerable adults. Any person who works in situations where there is a power imbalance should inquire whether or not Safe Church training is required and is encouraged strongly to complete the training.

The Safe Church Office, in partnership with the Office of Communication, launched new webpages for information and resources just before the 81st General Convention convened in Kentucky in June. The Diocese of New Jersey is not scheduling onsite sessions at this time. Currently, all training is online.

Latest Safe Church News in English and Spanish

If you need Safe Church training, initial or recertification, please send an email request to Clare Gutwein, and include your first and last names, church and town, and your email.  Information and login credentials will be emailed to you.
